Death in Service

Death in Service or incapacity support for Commissioned Agents

For many years the Association has invited members to designate a friend who is not a business partner to step in and represent the interests of their family should they die suddenly whilst still an agent.

Clearly one does not expect your family to have any difficulties should the partnership need to be wound up following a sudden death, nonetheless there could be a conflict of interest for the remaining partners. By having a colleague familiar with the workings of an agency able and authorised to act on behalf of the family provides valuable support and reassurance at an extremely difficult time.

There may sadly be situations where a colleague is incapacitated in some way and therefore not able to represent their own interests within the business. This would again be an opportunity to designate a colleague to lend support should it be required.
