During the recent Council Meeting it was agreed that it will not be feasible to hold the usual Annual Conference this year. However, we are extremely keen to hold an outdoor summer event to allow members to meet and socialise.

NAGS Go Racing

For the Race Day, you will enjoy a two-course meal with half a bottle of wine per person (house red/white) from your hospitality facility with views of the racecourse. Tickets also include car parking, admission, entrance into all three enclosures and race cards. Back at the Crowne Plaza there will be an evening BBQ on the Riverside Terrace. All B&B will be at the Crowne Plaza too. The package is called “the Favourite” at £225 per person (or £365 for two people sharing) or you can choose individual options. 

About Stratford Racecourse
Stratford Racecourse is located near the medieval market town of Stratford-Upon-Avon. The racecourse has an excellent reputation for levels of prize money and being host to 17 thrilling horseracing fixtures each year.  On the day you can expect to watch roughly seven races. 

About the Crowne Plaza
The Crowne Plaza is a stunning riverside hotel set amid landscaped gardens beside the River Avon and just a short walk from the town centre, with access to shops, bars and restaurants. The hotel offers guests access to the onsite fitness centre including a jacuzzi, sauna, gym and indoor heated swimming pool. 

There are three bars/lounges at the hotel all located on the ground floor. These are spaces to relax and enjoy food and beverages. The hotel also has an outside terrace area complete with patio heaters, fire pit and cosy seating. This is where the BBQ will take place after the races for those who book this part of the day. All lounges overlook the picturesque River Avon. 

Please note Parking is available at the hotel, but the daily rate is £8 for 24hrs. You will be required to register your car at the front desk or at the pay station.

Check in is from 3pm and check out is 11am, unless late check out is requested.

About Stratford-upon-Avon
Stratford-upon-Avon is a charming Tudor town built on the banks of the Avon River and is best known as the birthplace of William Shakespeare. 

Given its central location to the West Midlands, Stratford-upon-Avon can be easily accessed. Birmingham to Stratford trains take between 60-90 minutes and there are some direct services that operate from London Marylebone, while other require a change at Leamington Spa. A car journey from London taking around 2hrs.

Once in Stratford-upon-Avon, you can explore the town on foot or enjoy the convenience of its public transport network. There are also Hop-on hop-off tours operating, which provide an easy way to see its historic architecture and Shakespeare attractions, to name but a few of the many wonderful sightseeing opportunities in and around the town.

Location
Stratford Racecourse is easily accessible by road, rail and air.
By road, the Racecourse is around 15 minutes from Junction 15 of M40 and around 40 minutes from Junction 7 of the M5. Birmingham Airport is 40 minutes away and London, Bristol, Cardiff and Manchester all within two hours’ drive.
From the railway station, Stratford Racecourse is just a 5-minute taxi journey.
